A moderate/moderate-plus walk starting on tracks and field paths to Littledale hamlet, then 850 feet of ascent (a quarter of which is quite steep) up to the former quarries. Then a detour to ' The Three Chairs' and on to Clougha Pike and its trig point at about 1350 feet. Then a tricky descent down Clougha Scar and Windy Clough back to the cars. Excellent views of Morecambe Bay, the Yorkshire Dales and the rest of Bowland given good conditions. Risk assessment: The descent from Clougha Pike is rocky and bouldery and needs extra care.
