Overview
An undulating walk on the hills to the north of the Clun valley. The day begins on winding country lanes, gradually climbing towards afforested hills. These forest tracks lead to Bury Ditches hill fort, with wide ranging views. Then descending to cross the Kemp valley, en route to Kempton you will pass through Walcot Wood, an ancient woodland managed by the National Trust. Next climbing for a view of the Burrow hill fort, then descending to the ancient village of Hopesay, before the steep but entertaining climb to the top of Hopesay Hill with views of Craven Arms. Finally, descending on paths across a pastoral landscape to reach Craven Arms
