Welcome to the Market Drayton Ramblers. Market Drayton is a market town in the north of Shropshire, close to the Cheshire and Staffordshire borders.
Our walks programme is varied and covers walks in all the above counties and also Wales. We currently offer walks on Sundays and Tuesdays as follows: Sundays 11km/7 miles to 22km /14 miles, graded leisurely to strenuous. Tuesdays 8km/5 miles to 11km/7 miles, graded leisurely to moderate.
We also organise a walk on the first Saturday of each month and short Wednesday evening walks in June and July, usually to/from a pub. We have a good balance of walks to choose from and may be in the rugged Shropshire hills/Peak District one week and in the flatter Cheshire/Staffordshire countryside the next. So please join us, as there is sure to be a walk to suit you!
Market Drayton Ramblers are a very friendly group with a diverse range of members, and our walks are regularly joined by members from other groups. We offer well led walks at a reasonable pace, giving you the opportunity to chat with your co-walkers. Our full day walks usually have a coffee and lunch break, with a brunch break on the shorter Tuesday walks.
