Overview

A varied walk that takes us past the former saw mill in Hailey Wood into Cirencester Park, along Broad Ride into Sapperton. Following a short break we will descend into the lovely Sapperton valley, following the discussed Severn-Thames canal and river Frome to Frampton Mansell where we will stop for lunch. The return takes us along the top of the valley towards Sapperton, through Haily Wood back to Coates. Mostly grass and woodland paths, two short sections of road walking, a steep descend into the valley and a moderate climb up. There is one gate with a deep drop that is difficult to navigate. No stiles.
