This is an inland walk from Newton Poppleford, about 15 minutes from Sidmouth.. The route is a gentle ascent through Harpford Woods to a steeper climb which will bring us onto Fire Beacon Hill. From here there are spectacular views towards Sidmouth and around. The return is mostly all level or downhill though there are a few rough stony paths to negotiate.
