Join us for coffee at Newton Farm Cafe, and then a leisurely stroll through the beautiful grounds of Bath Spa University before the students return. The estate is famous for the charming landscaping features created by Capability Brown in the 1700s, the 14th century castle keep, and 15th century fortified gatehouse.
If you don't know me, just ask the cafe staff for the Bath Ramblers table. After coffee, we will be using hard surface paths, so walking shoes or trainers are fine. Maybe bring a sandwich to eat at a viewpoint along the route or, if you prefer, end the walk with refreshments back at the cafe. Best to park near the cafe, on the main road through the village, rather than take up parking spaces at the cafe whilst we're walking.
