Meet and park at Narlow Lane Car park. There is a charge for this, payable by card. However, there is limited roadside parking too, so an early arrival could take advantage of this.
This is a lovely walk that goes through the pretty village of Thorpe and follows the River Dove for some distance. We walk through lush meadows and follow woodland tracks, with only a couple of stiles to negotiate. There are a couple of uphill gradients but these should not prove difficult for regular walkers.
There may be road diversions around Ashbourne so it's worth checking to arrive on time!
