This walk will be led by Tony Ashbridge.
Starting from Coneysthorpe Green we head north along the Centenary Way to Coneysthorpe Banks Wood where we have an uphill climb before walking along field edges to Barton le Street for a coffee stop.in the churchyard. After this we walk along field edges and tracks to Appleton le Street walking through the churchyard and pausing to admire the Saxon Tower of the church itself. After this we head back along tracks and field edges towards Easthorpe and stop for lunch beside the track just after Easthorpe Stud Farm. We are now on the Castle Howard Estate and the walk then proceeds to Low Gaterley then back up to Bog Hall before the walk along the farm track and then over grassland back to Coneysthorpe.
No dogs except registered assistance dogs with the consent of the leader.
As of 16/2/26, the date of the recce, sections of the walk are muddy and slippery so poles are strongly advised.

The main road between Wetwang and North Grimston has large potholes particularly on the section between Fimber roundabout and Wharram le Street.
