This walk will follow St Edmonds Way to Flatford, where we can take in the mill and the location of John Constable's most famous work 'The Hay Wain'. We go past the artist's house, and along the Stour Valley Path until crossing the river and joining the Essex Way. We will then head through to Dedham and on to Mistley via Furze Hill where Witch Finder General Matthew Hopkins alleged that Witches held their black masses. We pick up the Stour Valley Path again into Manningtree. There will be a pub at the end.
Please bring a packed lunch. There will be an optional pub stop after lunch.
