A strenuous 10 mile walk beginning at the NT Car Park above Henrhyd Falls. We traverse the roads and bridleways to Craig Y Nos. Leaving the Country Park we cross over to make our steep ascent onto Cribarth (The Sleeping Giant) after the trig point a more gentle descent is taken to Ynyswen with a stop for lunch by the River Tawe. From here we wind our way up along the Nant Llech Valley to our finale and the highest waterfall in South Wales, Sgwd Henrhyd (featured as the entrance to the bat cave in 'Batman the Dark Knight Rises') we then make our steep return to the car park.
Packed lunch and suitable clothing/footwear for conditions required.
Toilet facilities available at Craig y Nos.
Well behaved dogs welcome, please keep on a lead near livestock. Owners are responsible to keep dogs safe on riverbanks, some of which are steep.
National Trust Car Park Henrhyd Falls Near Colbren Nearest Postcode SA10 9PH, then follow brown tourist signs. Please park considerately as the car park can get very busy.
