Overview

Leaving the car park, we head across Crookham Common before dropping down to join the Kennet and Avon Canal at Thatcham, which we then follow to Midgham Lock where a mid-morning break is anticipated. Then a short stretch of road walking takes us to field paths, which climb gently to Brimpton Church, passing Holdaway's Farm en route. We then make our way to Arundell's Copse, Inwood Copse, and Oxford Bridge to reach Ashford Hill where we join the Brenda Parker Way, following it to Goose Hill. There then follows a short stretch of road walking before we drop down through Stoneylands Copse to follow the River Enborne to Headley Ford. One final short but steep climb then takes us back to our cars.
