Come venture eastwards to the woodland delights from Limpsfield Chart on this 7-mile walk around the Greensand Hills of Kent. There is a coffee kiosk at our starting point so you could fill your flasks and purchase cakes there to have at our later mid morning break.
I have modified the route from when I last led a walk here in October 2024. This time we shall stay along the top, exploring the many woodland paths, laden with autumn fruit and fungi, plus occasional glimpses south across the Weald. We pass near Chartwell (home of Winston Churchill) but won't be going into the property. We then loop north to the edge of Westerham, before passing Squerry's Court and our final gentle ascent through woodland to the car park. No stiles, no livestock and the hills are not steep.
There is a pub (The Carpenters Arms) close to the car park and you are welcome to stay for a drink after the walk, or lunch if pre-booked.
Please contact leader if you wish to offer or receive a lift, or if you would like to book for pub lunch together afterwards.
