Earlier this year the Chiltern Young Walkers celebrated their 25th Anniversary and what better way to continue the celebrations than by reviving our traditional summer BBQ.
For those who want to utilise public transport or skip the pretty steep parking fees and/or get a nice walk in before and after, Paul is kindly leading a walk from the Library Car Park in Wendover up to the BBQ Spot.
The walk is 2.5 miles and includes one short but steep hill, and is suitable for all abilities. He will then retrace his steps for anyone who wants to be guided back later in the day at or around 5pm.
Trains arrive from Aylesbury direction at 10:57 and from London direction at 11:16.
Parking at Wendover Library Car Park where we will meet costs £4.20 for the day, or £1.70 for 5 hours if you wish to make your own way back down. Some free parking is available on Dobbins Lane, please check signage and park considerately. The library is a short walk from the station where parking costs £6.10/day.
(parking at Wendover Woods is £7 for 4 hours or £13 all day)
