Walk cancelled due to ASLEF strike
We are a friendly, socially active Ramblers Group welcoming all who enjoy walking. Our walks programme is extensive and varied covering all days of the week.
This walk is likely to be cancelled due ASLEF Strike on 01/09/2023.
This walk is roughly west to east and is pleasant. There however is plenty of mud and, when the path passes through Woodland Trust property, there is a steep downhill followed by a steep uphill both of which are slippy (if there has been rain). There are about 10 stiles at least one of which is a little awkward. The Pub Lunch is at The Hurstwood (https://www.thehurstwood.com/) where we expect to arrive about 1:15pm. There is a covered shelter opposite which would accommodate 3 people for picnic (or playing field if weather is good).

An off peak day return, with a Freedom Pass and Senior Railcard, from Boundary Zone 6 to Tunbridge Wells is £8.30. A possible train to get to London Bridge from Sutton is 09:56 from platform 1. The return buses (251/252) at the end of the walk to Tunbridge Wells are at 16:11, 16:41, 17:11, 18:36 (I hope to catch 16:41).
