From Amersham station we head out to walk through woodland on the south side of the Chess Valley. After Chenies, we walk down to meet the river and the Chess Valley Way, before climbing up to pass in front of the Royal Masonic School and on to Rickmansworth Station. Please bring a packed lunch and drinks for the day.
Meet at Meet at Amersham Station, Station Approach, Amersham HP6 5AZ. There is a train which arrives just before 10:00 and another which arrives just after. There is also a multi-storey carpark near the station. The walk ends at Rickmansworth Station, WD3 1QY.
Participants on this walk need to have suitable footwear and equipment and be able to walk the distance and terrain so please consider this before booking. If you are unsure then please contact the walk leader before booking to ascertain whether this walk is suitable for you. Please remember to bring along your ICE (In Case of Emergency) card with details of emergency contacts, medical conditions and medications.
The leader has set a limit of 20 walkers and requires you to book. If your plans change please let the leader know in case there is a waiting list. Your details will be used solely for the purpose of the walk and will then be destroyed.
