Overview

This walk takes in the east and west of Deddington. First we loop down to the river Cherwell with good views of the Cherwell valley and head up to Clifton before looping back - and uphill - towards Deddington. Then it's down the opposite valley, passing Daeda's wood, and over towards Hempton. The return gives us one final ascent up a muddy field. The walk is hard-going in places.

Most of the walking is on (muddy) tracks, but we do cross some waterlogged paths/fields. These may have dried a bit by the walk date, but sturdy boots (not walking shoes) are essential, as are waterproofs.
