Meet at Pwllgwaelod car park (free) on Dinas Island(!) which is really a peninsula! We will then walk along the coast path around the headland to Cwm-yr-Eglwys where there are the remains of a beautiful church. For those who prefer a shorter flatter walk at the beginning, they can walk along the tarmac path directly from Pwllgwaelod to Cwm-yr-Eglwys instead of around the coast. Coffee stop near the church.
We will then continue along the coast to Aber Fforest before following the path inland to a beautiful waterfall and then up the valley. We will cross the road and head inland through farms and across the lowerside of Mynydd Dinas through fields and woodland to meet the coast at Aber Bach and continuing along the coast back to Pwllgwaelod.
Could be muddy in places depending on recent weather conditions. Beautiful views from the coast and the mountain! Steep at times.
Expect gorgeous views and the occasional bit of mud and gates. Hardly any walking on roads/lanes.
Toilets at the Pwllgwaelod car park and at Cwm-yr-Eglwys.
Please car share where possible.
Enjoy a drink at the Sailor's Safety (just next to the car park) after the walk.
Sorry, walk not suitable for dogs.
Please check the walks programme the afternoon before the walk for any late changes.
