Overview

Meet at the car park in Harbour Village. We follow the road for a short while to the coast path and head past Pen Anglas towards Carregwastad Point (where the French invaded in 1797). On the recce there were seals on the beach nearby. We then head towards Llanwnda (visiting the pretty church and the well) and climb over the top, where we will visit a burial chamber and then drop down to woodlands and through to Stop and Call, past streams and back to our starting point. There could be some lovely views if the weather is kind.

This is the walk I led on 22nd March 2025. I may decide to do the walk in reverse this time!!

Monday, 6 April 2026

10:00 am

3:00 pm
Difficulty:
Moderate

12.9km / 8.0mi

Expect some mud, rickety stiles and fastened up gates. Hardly any walking on roads/lanes.

Lovely views.

There are no toilets. Please car share as there were a number of trailers, vans etc parked in the car park when I did the recce. Parking on the side streets is also a possibility.

Sorry, walk not suitable for dogs.

Please check the walks programme the afternoon before the walk for any late changes.

Head to the roundabout at the entrance to the ferry terminal at Goodwick (Tesco's is on the roundabout too). Then head towards Goodwick, past the train station, to the next junction where you need to turn left and almost immediately after this bend, turn right at a very awkward junction on to a road named New Hill. About 700m along New Hill there is a car park signed off to the left. If the car park is full then you can park on the nearby streets.
