Meeting time & place: 10.40 at Manchester Piccadilly station to catch the 10.47 train to Disley.
Start time & place: 11.20 at Disley station.
Estimated finish time: no later than 15.00 to catch the 15.23 return train to Manchester.
Difficulty: Easy
Distance – 6 miles.
Train ticket - Return to Disley (if you have a GM concessionary travel card this can be from Middlewood).
Note: walkers are advised to check one of the rail websites such as nationalrail or trainline close to the departure time in case of late changes to the running of the train.
Car Use / Parking - Available at Disley station (please note, only some of the parking area has free parking on Sundays).
Walk Route - Disley station, Stanley Hall, Stanleyhall Wood, Peak Forest Canal, Hawk Green, Macclesfield Canal, Windlehurst Hall, Lomber Hey Farm, Dovehouse Farm, Disley station.
Walking boots or shoes and clothes (waterproof jacket in wet weather conditions) are essential.
Please bring lunch and non alcoholic drinks.
