Join me on this walk starting from the Donnington Arms, Donnington le Heath which is a walk that includes parts of other walks that I have put on in this area. It is a mix and match of various areas around this part of North West Leicestershire including a part of the Bardon Hill countryside but not actually up to the top of the hill. It is mainly over good footpaths, fields, farmland and some short sections of road walking. The walk is mainly over flat pathways with a couple of steep step sections. Minimal muddy sections considering the amount of rain we have recently had.
Toilets at the lunch stop
9 stiles overall, none particularly tricky.
This would be classed as a moderate walk due to the mileage, but there are no major hills to climb, just some steepish steps. It is a mixture of old and new footpaths that have been developed in the area. The grounds of Bardon Hill are a popular area for walkers, but on this occasion we will not be climbing to the top of the hill.
