Overview

Come explore the honeypot of Dovedale (although at this time of year, we should avoid the crowds of day trippers), with its stepping stones (allowing crossing between Derbyshire and Staffordshire, across the River Dove), plenty of limestone caves and the small but steep Thorpe Cloud, one of the peak districts smallest hills at only 287m, we also explore pretty 17th century Milldale (where we can take a break for lunch by the river with the ducks) and the Tissington trail (the old Buxton to Ashbourne railway).  Parts of this walk can be very muddy.

Post walk drinks at the Old Dog in Thorpe.

You must contact the walk leader to reserve a place on the walk.

Please contact the walk leader if you plan to bring a dog.
