Overview

This is an easy urban 5 mile walk totally on the flat along tarmac riverside and parkland paths and pavements. This absorbing walk passes many fine buildings linked to Dumbarton’s industrial past of heavy industry and ship building. There are great examples of regeneration and new development bringing life and vitality to the town. We will pass many landmarks along the route including Levengrove park, Dumbarton Rock (which dominates the town), its historic castle and the Maritime Museum.
