Meeting outside Marks and Spencer, Central Station, Glasgow at 9:30am for the 9:45am train stopping at Dumbarton Central. Walkers should buy a return ticket to Balloch.
From Dumbarton Central we will walk alongside the River Leven to Balloch. This section is 5 miles and mostly flat. On arrival at Balloch we will make a short detour to Loch Lomond Shores for toilets and lunch. We will then return to Balloch to walk 3.5 miles around Balloch Country Park.
We should arrive in Balloch around 12:30pm and be ready to return on 14:38 to Glasgow Central. Trains to Glasgow are at 11 minutes and 38 minutes past the hour.
Walkers who only wish to walk around Balloch Country Park may join us at Balloch. Please let the walk leader know in advance.
Walk is mostly on flat tarmac paths.
