Probably not too hard to solve the route of this mystery tour. Starting at Richmond train station, we head across Richmond Park (a chance for some deer spotting), then on through Wimbledon Common (look out for those busy, but elusive Wombles). We then divert to the Wimbledon tennis grounds for a coffee stop and a chance to soak in the atmosphere of the home of tennis. Off again along the River Wandle, through Wandsworth to reach the Thames. Following the Thames footpath, we cross Battersea Park to our final destination of Battersea Power Station (a trip to visit Battersea cats and dogs home is optional!). The route is largely off-road and surprisingly rural for central London, but there are a few main roads to cross. Not suitable for dogs. Following its redevelopment, Battersea Power station is now home to a plethora of bars and cafes, so there will be the opportunity for a well-earned drink at the end.
