Overview

This is a circular walk through newly afforested area on mainly very good gravel tracks. The walk will also include a walk along the ridge of Steeles Knowe and the associated  wind turbines, which will include some walking over grassy hillsides. If the weather is poor this ridge walk could be excluded.

Poles will be very useful for the ridge walk section. As with all Perth Group walks, please inform the Walk Leader  2 days of your intention of walking.

Most of the walk can be classed as Moderate (C+), the Ridge section does involve some hill walking which could be classed as B grade (strenuous).  It would be possible for any walkers  to omit this section if they so chose.

Take the Muckhart Road (B934) from Dunning, running behind the village pub. Drive for about 4 miles passing Simon Howes factory and look for parking area next to the metal gates to Corb Glen. Do not block the gates. A separate parking area is also available on the opposite side of the road.
