We will be walking in the Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park starting at the Greenock Cut Visitor Centre Car Park with a gentle climb up open hillside to reach the summit of Dunrod Hill. On a clear day you'll be treated to views over Greenock and the Clyde to Dunoon and the hills of Cowal, the Isle of Bute and the Cumbraes. Following an easy descent we'll be crossing open moorland to join the path that follows the Greenock Cut, a channel constructed to transport water to Greenock. We'll take a slight detour off the main path to visit Reservoir 8, one of many small reservoirs hidden from the main route, before returning to the car park.
