This circular walk starting in Saline, crosses farmland then follows a well-defined track up to the top of Easter Cairn (which is the site of an old fort), then across to the summit of Saline Hill. The views are extensive from both hills over the River Forth and Fife. The ascent lacks a formal path in some areas and there is a steepish descent off Saline Hill. The walk then follows a path alongside Saline Burn, through the woods and back to the car park. There is the possibility of livestock in one or two of the field crossings and there is one stile and small brook to negotiate.
