We start at East Cowes floating bridge and follow the coastal path to Sandown.
We will take a refreshment stop at the delightful Quarr Abbey, so please bring food and drink or you may want to get something from the tea shop.
On then to Ryde, where you may want to finish the walk or carry on. Plenty of buses available from Ryde, plus the train to Shanklin.
For those carrying on we pass through Seaview, St.Helens and Bembridge, these can all be exit points if you don't want to go the whole distance.
We will be having a well deserved pub stop at the Culver Haven before descending down Culver Cliff to Yaverland and on to the finishing point at Sandown Pier.
Please note that the overall pace will be fairly brisk, due to the length of the walk.
For those using public transport there is a bus that leaves Newport bus station at 08.48 to East Cowes, getting in at 09.16.
The whole walk is 22 miles, but walkers can start and leave at any point to suit themselves.
Buses or Island Line can be taken back from Sandown.
