Overview

This is a seven mile walk rising steeply out of Edale up to the rock formation,Ringing Roger. 
We follow the edge of the Kinderscout plateau before descending via Grindsbrook Knoll and a short section of The Pennine Way. 
Edale village has toilets and refreshments and a large car park. The total ascent is circa 1550 feet. The duration of the walk will be about 4.5 hours.

Expect stunning moorland scenery amongst the Millstone Grit edges of Kinderscout. It will be very steep to climb up to the moorland out of Edale but we will take it very steadily so don’t be out off if you are a relatively fit walker.

There are some steepish sections on descent where walking poles may be useful.
