A walk from Bruntsfield Links to Backford and Craig Lockheart hills, returning to Edinburgh West End along the Union canal.
Bus from the bottom of Lothian Road, opposite the Caledonian Hotel to Whitehouse Loan bus stop
Along mainly residential roads to Blackford hill. A. climb up and over Blackford hill and a walk along the burn to Morningside and then over Craig Lockhart hill, returning to the canal basin along the Union canal towpath.
