Overview

This tranquil corner of Staffordshire – with homely villages, country estates and secret woodlands – was the inspiration for ‘Loamshire’ in George Eliot’s 1859 novel ‘Adam Bede’ and among the serene countryside this walk takes in, little has changed since then. The views from the Weaver Hills are marvellous too. There are 20 stiles on this walk.
