An enjoyable winter walk from Errwood Reservoir up to Taxal Edge.
Mostly footpaths, some lanes, fields and farmland.
We start off along the shores of Errwood reservoir, walking up to Taxal Edge with fabulous views of the Peak District National Park. An option to see Jenkin Chapel before we reach Pym Chair then we will descend along Foxlow Edge back to the car park at Errwood Reservoir.
From the direction of Whaley Bridge take the A5004 (Long Hill) in the direction of Buxton. After approx 2 miles, turn right on to Goyt's Lane (signed for Goyt Valley) Follow single track road down into the valley across Fernilee Dam and continue left past Errwood Reservoir to the southern end. Free parking.
