Farnham & District Ramblers offers an all-year-round programme of walks in the beautiful Surrey Hills, North East Hampshire, and South Downs National Park.

We will be walking from The Ball & Wicket PH and will make our way down to the river, then along to **Turks Mill, before making our way back through the Holt Pound Enclosure. Please be aware there are several stiles on the walk.
**Did you know the River Wey once had more mills per mile than anywhere else in Britain (22 in total)? Turks Mill has buildings dating from the 18th and 19th centuries and has been renovated and converted to a private residence, although the mill itself did not survive. The mill has been renamed throughout it's history (Grove Mill, Groveland Mill and Bentley Mill) and in 1664 it milled paper. Towards the end of its operational life it adopted the name of the family that took it over (Turk). After the walk we can enjoy refreshments with out fellow walkers at The Ball & Wicket.
