Overview

We will set off up the hill to Ewyas Harold Common and then on to Dore Abbey for elevenses. Long climb afterwards to a bit of quiet road. Afterwards following the lane back to the Common. Onward and through an interesting wooded Nature Reserve before making our way along fields down to Dulas. A long climb (supposedly past waterfalls although even after all the rain there was nothing to be seen) follows and we then enter some woodland and eventually turn and head homeward along a number of fields, after a goodly number, turning towards, and eventually over, the Dulas Brook.

There was a variety of livestock on the walk, although the herd of fallow deer ran off. There will be a number of stiles, befitting a rural walk, together with a couple of the usual high step ladders for crossing some deer fencing. Some long hills to climb. The couple of road sessions are on relatively quiet minor roads. No idea whether the muddiness will persist into May so may be slippy in places.
