We are the West Berkshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Join me to explore Savernake Forest and and look for some of the named trees, such as Old Paunchy, Spider Oak, Green Fluted Oak, and possibly Big Belly Oak as well as the site of a Roman road. We then take Cock-a-troop lane as we make our way to Stitchcombe and Mildenhall before returning using the Chiseldon and Marlborough railway path. The route is mainly on good paths and tracks but there will be some muddy patches.
Please bring sufficient food and drink for the day.
