Overview

From Fairburn Ings through the villages of Ledston , Kippax and Ledsham. Back to Fairburn and the cars via the lakeside. Good paths in the beautiful rolling Yorkshire countryside. No hills to speak of. Pub stop   (drinks only  - can’t eat sandwiches ) in Ledsham .

Meet in the car park at Fairburn Ings Visitor Centre. The car parking is £4 all day. Payable by card . Visitor Centre may be closed but the toilets should be open. Suggested route is . A1 north. Then A63. Then A1246 to Fairburn. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit and follow the RSPB signs to the start which is about 2 miles out of Fairburn along Newton Lane. NB There are still road-works on the A1 at Wentbridge.
