Overview

We will climb steeply from Llanferres to join Offa's Dyke Path, which leads us to Foel Fenlli, a prehistoric hill fort and the base of dark age warlord King Belli. This is the first summit of the walk at 511m. We then continue to Moel Famau (554m) and Moel Dywyll (412m). The return leg takes us past Brithdir Bach and the fringes of the Clwyd Forest before returning to Llanferres. You will need a good level of fitness for the combination of 860m of total ascent and the distance of 20km/13 miles. We will be crossing fields containing livestock so well behaved dogs on a short lead only please.
