Overview

Leaving Ford following the By Brook stream to Slaughterford we will walk by the side of Backpath Wood, up a short climb, then through fields to Ham Lane.  We will continue to Biddestone where we will stop for a drink and a snack by the duck pond.  We will walk back through fields to Slaughterford then a different way back to Ford.

After the walk we can have a drink at the White Hart which is next to the car park.

Car park just after the White Hart Inn, Ford SN14 8RP. Driving along the A420 from Bristol, look out for the signpost indicating that you have entered Ford, just after the church (on your left). Turn right off the A420 (signposted Colerne) and drive past the pub (do not turn left). Car park is just up a bit on the left. For the exact location see map on this page.
