Join Chiltern Young Walkers as we explore the forests and hills of South Oxfordshire
We will be setting off from the Maharaja's well in Stoke Row, heading west into the first of many forests, after a few miles of gentle descent we will encounter our first steep climb with a panorama of the surrounding countryside as a reward, continuing over the ridge line for a while with hints of Didcot and Oxford on the distant horizon. After our lunch stop we'll be heading along"Grim's Ditch" ( which is a lot nicer than it sounds)making our way towards the end of the walk where we'll be passing through "English Farm" which will hopefully offer us the chance to see the Longhorn cattle, and finally to finish things off we will have a steep ascent to make sure we've worked up a thirst for a drink at "The Cherry Tree Inn" which is on the summit of the hill as we return to Stoke Row.
There is free parking along the entirety of the main road through the village.
Please bring a packed lunch and plenty of water as there will be no place to purchase food/drink along this walk.
