Overview

This is a circular walk that takes us to Fort Nelson to see the current exihition 'For Your Tomorrow - The People's Tribute'
An art installation of life-size silhouettes representing the 1,475 servicemen under British Command who gave their lives on D-Day and 50 French resistance fighters. The installation has been created by charity Standing with Giants.
Fort Nelson, overlooking Portsmouth, is a fitting location for the art installation. The installation has recently been on show at the British Normandy Memorial in France and its return to Portsmouth is a symbolic homecoming for those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
The exhibition is free although they do suggest you donate £5.00 to help cover the costs of hosting the installation.
Tickets will need to be booked in advance from https://royalarmouries.org/fort-nelson
If you would like to join this walk and visit  'For Your Tomorrow - The People's Tribute', please email the leader (by clicking on the email box above). Then book 2.00pm slot for entry to Fort Nelson.
