Overview

A lovely short leisurely circular walk taking in 4 counties!

Though the start and finish of the walk are in Northamptonshire, you will also be walking in Rutland, Lincolnshire and Peterborough in Cambridgeshire. The walk starts on the higher ground at Easton on the Hill, where there are good views back over Stamford and to the Fens beyond. The route then goes through Wothorpe to the Meadows area in Stamford where we will stop for a coffee stop. We then stroll along the River Welland back to the start point.

We will be stopping for an optional light lunch after the walk at the Community Cafe in Easton on the Hill (New Road, Easton on the Hill, Stamford PE9 3NN). The menu is available on their website if you wish to look beforehand.

New and prospective members will be especially welcome and suit those members who favour a shorter walk.
