A walk taking in parts of both the Crumlin and the Brecon canals, a climb through the Alt-yr-Yn Nature Reserve, an urban stream, two sections of road walking, some forestry with a bomb crater and the two Ynysyfro reservoirs.
There are 170 steps (7% down hill), some steep, to climb in the nature reserve and this section will be very muddy; this is followed by a descent on grass where some people might like to use walking sticks. Other than that most of the walk is on good surfaces, much of it tarmac. There are no stiles.
We should see ducks, swans and moorhens on the canal.
