Frodsham Caves, Hob Hey Woods and Frodsham Marsh

From the Sandstone Trail Car Park  we visit the little known but impressive Frodsham Caves before descending through Hob Hey Woodland Reserve  down to the River Weaver at Frodsham Cut and Lock.   

The trail then goes along the river under the railway and motorway bridges to Frodsham Marsh.  We walk along the elevated path between the river and wildlife reserves towards the Manchester Ship Canal.  

After turning back towards Marsh Green, we then walk to the actual start of the Sandstone Trail, which we follow up along the ridge around Overton Hill before returning to the start.
