We are the South Cheshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Something for everyone, this 8.5 mile walk starts and ends at Mount Road Playing fields, Kidsgrove where parking is free. We will walk through woodland, fields, some hills and along the Macclesfield Canal. The walk takes us past Ramsdell Hall, the 'Old Man of Mow and the Mow Cop Castle Folly. Expect panoramic views of the Cheshire Plain.
The walk takes in several styles, there are some steep sections and a potential for muddy paths.
Public car park Waterloo road, Haslington. CW1 5TW. Car share £1.50.
Starting point for the walk, Mount Road Kidsgrove, playing fields. Free parking opposite the Mount Road Medical Centre and Well Pharmacy.
