We walk from Hammersmith along the north bank of the Thames to Palace Gardens and Fulham Palace. The Palace, Botanic Gardens and Walled Gardens are all free to enter. The Palace has a cafe and toilets. The walk is along tarmac paths. Fulham Palace, the home of the Bishops of London since AD704 until 1973. There is an option of walking back along the Thames the same way or catching the 220 bus from Fulham Palace Road back to Hammersmith. Alight at Hammersmith Broadway.
Meet at the 702 coach stop TC on Hammersmith Bridge Road, opposite St Pauls Church at 10.20am. Please Note: The bus could get held up on the M4 coming into London. If travelling from Windsor, Slough or Langley on the 702 catch the bus at Windsor Parish Church stop A 09:09, Slough Wellington St stop C 09:27, Langley London Road/High St (Toby Carvery) at 09:46 to hopefully arrive in Hammersmith at 10:17. The return bus is at 38 minutes past the hour.
