On this final part of the St Albans Way, we shall continue from Radlett to Margaret Cottages, following paths to Moor Hill and the River Ver. We will take the Ver Valley walk which leads to Park Street and New Barnes Mill. After Cottonmill Lane, we re-join the river path to Holywell Hill and uphill to our final destination - St Albans Cathedral. There will be time to visit the Cathedral and surrounding area. Please bring a packed lunch and drinks for the day but there is a cafe at the Cathedral.
Meet at Radlett Station, Station Approach, Watling St, Radlett WD7 7AP. There is a car park at the station and the daily cost is £3.60. We will return to Radlett after the walk by train.
Please note, this walks starts at the slightly later time than usual of 10.30am.
Participants on this walk need to have suitable footwear and equipment and be able to walk the distance and terrain so please consider this before booking. If you are unsure then please contact the walk leader before booking to ascertain whether this walk is suitable for you.
The leader has set a limit of 18 walkers and requires you to book. If your plans change please let the leader know in case there is a waiting list. Your details will be used solely for the purpose of the walk and will then be destroyed.
