Start from Gaddesby in an anti-clockwise direction mostly on the Leicestershire Round and the Midshires Way. From the edge of Frisby on the Wreake we will head to the lunch stop at Hoby church. We then head south back to Gaddesby.
The route involves a few sections on minor lanes. Care will be needed crossing the railway line and the A607.
Four stiles on the route plus a very long narrow footbridge over the river Wreake with metal hand rails on both sides.
Given the time of year mud is inevitable though most of the route is easy going and gently undulating with good pastoral views.
Dogs on leads please.
Usual lunch and refreshment stops.
Cheney Arms should be open on our return to Gaddesby
Please consider car sharing arrangements with other members to reduce the pressure on parking spots at the start of the walk.
In the event of severe weather, please contact the leader on the day of the walk to check the walk is still on.
