From Churchstoke we will make our way to Hurdley Hall to walk through the gardens and enjoy cake and coffee/tea. Hurdley Hall participates in the National Open Garden Scheme. This is a private viewing of the gardens, 18 acres of Coronation Meadows, woodland and an orchard. There is a suggested £6 donation.
Leaving Hurdley Hall we will go to Hyssington and then make our way back to Churchstoke via Roudton Hill.
A shorter version of the walk will be available for anyone interested in only visiting the gardens and enjoying the cakes. It will be approximately 4 miles with 500 feet of elevation gain.
Di Higgs has offered to lead this shorter version. This walk will start at the same time as the longer walk to Hurdley Hall. After visiting the hall, Di will lead the people interested in the shorter walk back to the car park. When registering for the walk, please state you are interested in the shorter version.
Thanks.
