This walk is at the shorter end of our walk range but an elevation gain of around 1000ft. will make it feel enough for a mornings walk. The potential views from a very exposed summit make it a very worthwhile ascent. The way is mainly on forest tracks and well used paths with one steep bank to negotiate downhill towards the end. Please be aware that in October there could be testing weather conditions on this walk so ensure all foul weather kit, boots. walking poles etc. are to hand.
This is a walk using a graded forest track which will enable us to ascend reasonably comfortably to benefit from the excellent views over the Breidden Hills and wider surrounding area. After a break, which may have to be flexible for time and location depending on weather conditions, we will descend on a pleasant path through woodland. There is a sharp drop back onto the main track towards the end which will require care and attention. Stiles 1
