This walk is just 4.4 miles, with some hilly bits. From the village of Shorwell we go through the grounds of Wolverton to the main road, from where we ascend to the top of Limerstone Down, then follow the top of the down to take the Northcourt permissive path. As the 'wooden' road bridge is now closed, we go down into the depths of the dell, to emerge directly onto the road, where care is very much required. The dell has good steps and some kind person has even provided a hand rail. After crossing the road we go through woodland to return to the village centre.
Do bring food, if you think you will need it, and a drink.
This walk will be led by Vanessa (07419 825246) and Maria (07926 353108).
New walkers welcome. If you are new to the Ramblers you can just turn up for any of our walks, unless we specify otherwise. We invite you to come along for three walks as a non-member.
